Professor Victor Antwi is an accomplished scholar and
administrator with deep expertise in Physics Education. He earned his Ph.D.
from Universiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands, following earlier degrees from
the University of Cape Coast and the University of Education, Winneba, where he
also completed his foundational teacher training. His academic journey is built
on a strong background in science education, beginning with his GCE Advanced
and Ordinary Level studies at T. I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School.
With a professional career spanning over
two decades at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Professor Victor Antwi has risen through the academic ranks from
Teaching Assistant to Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and
ultimately Professor of Physics Education in 2023. He has also taught in the
Departments of Early Childhood Education and Integrated Science and contributed
significantly as a Senior Research Associate.
Beyond teaching and research, Professor Victor Antwi
has demonstrated exemplary leadership in higher education. He currently serves
as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of UEW (2023–2025), having previously held the roles of
Acting Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Acting Dean of the Faculty of
Science Education. His governance experience includes long-standing service on
the University’s Academic Board and multiple Faculty and Departmental Boards
between 2005 and 2023.
