Richard Appiah-Nkyi is an astute lawyer of 30 years standing at the Ghana Bar. Besides the law degree, he holds MBA (Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy) from Maastricht School of Management (MsM), Maastricht, the Netherlands. He is pursuing a programme of studies leading to the award of Master of Arts (Christian Ministry with Management) at Christian Service University, Kumasi.

He was the Pioneer Deputy Registrar/Head of Legal and Welfare Office, KNUST-Kumasi. He also served as Deputy/College Registrar of the College of Engineering, KNUST and College of Health Sciences, KNUST.

He has had Higher Education Institutions (HIEs) management experience of twenty-six (26) years. He rose in the ranks, at KNUST, from an Assistant Registrar, in April, 1997 to a Deputy Registrar, in April, 2012.
